Coquitlam Foundation Grant

February 1st, 2018

Encouraging Arts in Coquitlams’s Francophone Community - Les Échos du Pacifique received a grant from Coquitlam Foundation. Here is the article from Coquitlam Foundation.

Les Échos du Pacifique a Francophone choir that rehearses and performs in Coquitlam, received a grant for $2250 from the Coquitlam Foundation last year. With these funds, the choir was able to pay for an ad with the Tri-City News, printed and photocopied concert programs and posters, new choral pieces, one commissioned work entitled, “Embraceable You”, and professional photos of the choir to be displayed on their website.

Last year, three new, younger choir members joined, and three former choir members returned. Les Échos du Pacifique successfully held a Christmas concert at St.Lawrence Anglican Church, in collaboration with an elementary Francophone school choir, École Anne-Hébert. Additionally, the group performed at Foyer Maillard in December, held a fundraiser Pub Night in February, and ran their spring concert in May.
